TERMS OF SERVICE

What GoBodaGo is
GoBodaGo connects you with verified, background-checked boda riders who run errands: pick-ups and drop-offs, shopping, queuing, and deliveries in Kampala. We are currently in a limited pilot serving specific areas; coverage and availability are not guaranteed.
Booking and pricing
- Prices are quoted before you confirm, in Ugandan shillings. A quote is valid for a limited time shown at booking.
- For shopping errands, the cost of goods is separate from the errand fee and is agreed before the rider buys anything.
- You can cancel a booking before a rider is assigned at no charge. After assignment, cancellation may not be possible for that errand.
Payment
- We accept mobile money (MTN and Airtel) and cash to the rider. Payments from abroad may be taken by card through our payment providers.
- Mobile money payments are confirmed by your approval on your own phone. Never share your PIN with anyone, including a rider.
- If a payment is taken in error, contact us on WhatsApp and we will investigate and refund where due.
Your responsibilities
- Give accurate pickup, delivery, and contact details.
- Don't ask riders to carry anything illegal, dangerous, or age-restricted without lawful basis. We refuse such errands.
- Treat riders with respect. Abusive behaviour ends the service relationship.
Our responsibilities and limits
- We verify riders' identity and run background checks before they carry errands.
- If an errand goes wrong — wrong item, damaged goods, non-delivery — report it on WhatsApp within 48 hours and we will put it right where the fault is ours or the rider's.
- To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any errand is limited to the errand fee plus the agreed value of goods carried for that errand.
- We are not liable for delays caused by weather, traffic, or events beyond our control.
Riders
Riders are independent operators who accept errands through GoBodaGo. Rider onboarding, verification, conduct standards, and payout terms are covered in the rider agreement provided at onboarding.
Disputes and law
These terms are governed by the laws of Uganda. Talk to us first — most problems are fixed in a WhatsApp thread. Formal disputes go to the courts of Uganda.
Changes
We may update these terms; material changes will be posted here with a new date. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.
